⎯ THE CHALLENGE
MOVING WHAT NO ONE WANTED TO MOVE
The client needed to set up a promotional display in 125 hypermarkets and supermarkets throughout Spain in just 3 days. So far, so good—a typical retail execution project. The problem lay elsewhere: the materials.
The displays and the header that made up the island were large and heavy —the kind of point-of-sale display that doesn’t fit in a standard van, that not just anyone can handle, and that requires special vehicles, loading permits, and crews with experience in heavy-duty assembly. A logistical error in this type of project isn’t just a one-day delay—it puts the entire campaign at risk.
The brand needed someone to handle the logistics from start to finish, coordinate the field team, and ensure the rollout was completed on time— without operational chaos affecting the client.
⎯ OBJECTIVES
WHAT THE CUSTOMER NEEDED
Specialized transportation from the logistics platform
Handling the transport of heavy and bulky goods from the customer’s warehouse to each point of sale, without incidents or damage.
Complete island setup in 125 stores
Install 5 display units plus 1 end cap per store in all assigned hypermarkets and supermarkets within just 3 days.
Nationwide coverage with no deviations
Ensure the highest possible implementation rate, documenting any incidents with a justified cause and full traceability.
“The client didn’t see the chaos behind the scenes. They only saw results. That’s exactly how it has to be.”
SIG Spain Operations Team
⎯ THE SOLUTION
CUSTOMIZED LOGISTICS,
EXPERT TEAM
The key to this project wasn’t the in-store execution—we always have that under control. The key was solving the logistical problem before it reached the point of sale. We coordinated each phase so that the field team only had to do one thing: set it up.
MATERIAL ANALYSIS AND LOGISTICS PLANNING
We assessed the weight, dimensions, and composition of the display units and the header to determine what type of transportation each retail location required. Not all stores have the same access conditions or the same loading docks.
SPECIALIZED VEHICLE RENTAL
We manage vehicle rentals with the appropriate load capacity to transport POS materials from the client’s logistics platform to each store. No improvisation: the right vehicle for each route and each type of store.
ASSIGNMENT OF SPECIALIZED TEAM FOR POS ASSEMBLY
We assigned a team of 27 people from SIG Spain with specific experience in assembling large-format POS displays. Each person knew exactly what to assemble, how, and in what order—no need for improvisation in the store.
REAL-TIME COORDINATION AND MONITORING
We maintain ongoing communication with the client throughout the entire project. Any issues at the store—such as a renovation site or a disagreement between headquarters—were documented and reported immediately so that the client always had full visibility into the project’s status.

The 2% that was not implemented is entirely due to factors beyond SIG Spain’s control: stores undergoing renovations or disagreements between retail headquarters and the brand. Each case was documented and communicated to the client in real time, with supporting evidence and justification. No incidents attributable to the implementation.
